AM Radio Station ATU Matching Tool
Input the following values:
1. Basic Design Approach
We'll calculate the L and C values for an L-match network, which is a simple and effective matching network. We can make the following assumptions:
The transmitter has a given source impedance (usually 50Ω).
The antenna has a load impedance (Z) that may differ from 50Ω.
2. Form Inputs for User Data
The user will input:
Source Impedance (Zs): The impedance of the transmitter (usually fixed at 50Ω).
Load Impedance (Zl): The impedance of the antenna.
Frequency (f): The operating frequency of the AM station (in kHz).
The tool will output the values for:
Series Inductor (L) or Capacitor (C)
Parallel Capacitor (C) or Inductor (L)
Enjoy!
